In Google Search, the user initiates an explicit search. The platform interprets that query and decides which ads are eligible to compete. In ChatGPT Ads, a sponsored placement can appear below an answer when the system identifies a relevant commercial match with the current conversation.

They are not exact-match keywords, audience-targeting rules or a guarantee of appearing in a particular conversation. We therefore organise ad groups around a coherent need or intent rather than trying to transfer a keyword structure one-for-one.
